In partnership with Educational Service Unit 9 (ESU 9), Summit Academy provides Tier III services for students who need intensive support. Our program delivers targeted behavior interventions using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), with the ultimate goal of helping each student successfully return to their home school district. Through our ESU 9 partnership, a dedicated ESU 9 Special Education Teacher is embedded within our program to oversee each student’s IEP and ensure their academic goals are achieved alongside behavioral progress.

Individualized Support
Students receive the level of adult support, instructional differentiation, behavioral programming, communication support, and regulation opportunities they need to meaningfully participate in their school day.
Integrated Team Support
Students are supported by a coordinated team rather than becoming dependent on one assigned adult. Education, behavior, and school leadership work together to adjust support as student needs change.
Growing Independence
Our goal isn't to provide the most support possible.
It's to provide the right support and intentionally fade that support as students build skills, confidence, and independence.
